Why lead detail matters
Lead moves a fair bit with temperature. Runs that are too long, fixed too rigidly or laid in the wrong code split at the same points every time. Getting the bay lengths, expansion joints, clipping and lap dimensions right is what keeps it working for decades rather than years.
Where the original leadwork on a period property's still sound, it's often better to conserve it than replace it. We'll tell you when that's the case.
